Plot |
When teenage city slicker Ren McCormack (Kevin Bacon) moves to a small country town with his family, he is surprised to discover that his new town has outlawed dancing and rock and roll. His new friend, Willard Hewett (Christopher Penn) gives Ren the background, that the law was passed after a tragic accident that the town's minister, Reverend Shaw Moore (John Lithgow) attributed to the evils of rock music and dancing. Ren finds himself butting heads with the Reverend not only when he challenges the law, but also when Ren and the Reverend's beautiful daughter, Ariel Moore (Lori Singer) discover their attraction to each other. |
