Plot |
A small group of teenagers adore classic monster movies and – appropriately enough – adopt the name, The Monster Squad, for their club. By a strange twist, their leader, Sean Crenshaw (Andre Gower), receives the diary of legendary vampire killer, Abraham Van Helsing. Unable to read German, they employ the services of the local 'Scary German Guy' (Leonardo Cimino) to translate it. The diary details painstakingly the story of an amulet, composed of concentrated good. Once a century, while the forces of good and evil level off, the normally indestructible amulet is defenseless. Tucked away in a stone room, the amulet is inadequately protected by holy symbols including crucifixes. Although most of the monsters, from Dracula to the Wolfman, are with the forces of evil trying to get to the amulet, Frankenstein's creation defects and helps the teenagers – along with 'Scary German Guy' – battle the monsters. |
